JR, our mysterious self-styled “chronicler” of the diverse spectrum of wild things I do – struck again, and has created 27 rather provocative “Compression Blogs.“
They distill and summarize, then squarely explain and illustrate the core-essence of a dizzying array of all new strategic approaches, breakthrough distinctions, AND unique hybrid concepts I get deeply involved in.
We call these “Compressed Blogs” because they are compressed versions of the more hands-on, private, one-on-one and group consulting (or strategic/marketing makeovers) I’ve conducted… not in the last few years, but the last few months!
The guy has an uncanny knack for representing my mind and methods in a stunningly succinct, remarkably clear, and amazingly actionable form – and delivers demystified/simplified summaries of some very powerful, but complex, things I’m working on/with.
Reading his insights is much like the Lays potato chip commercial: I don’t believe you can read JUST ONE of these 27 compression blogs… without wanting to eat-up all the rest.
Of course, none of these sell anything. They’re merely pure, unadulterated – exceedingly well-reasoned and exceptionally well-presented “knowledge transfer” from my brain – through JR’s – and finally over to YOU!
You’ll thoroughly enjoy the rewarding ideas in each of these 27 blogs – or I’ll give you your money back (oh, I forgot I don’t charge you for any of this).
Greetings David Elliot Rothblatt!
We had a full house for my interview with Tony Robbins – if you missed it, or couldn’t get in, I’ve posted a replay for you here:
Eben Interviews Tony Robbins AboutMoney
NOTE: We had a little tech issue, and Tony wound up having to dial in from his cell phone, so you might have to turn up the volume a little.
In the interview, Tony shared strategies that he has learned from top money gurus – that you can use immediately to start taking better care of the money you’ve worked so hard to earn.

Tony is releasing his new book called:
“UNSHAKEABLE: Your Financial Freedom Playbook”
Tony interviewed dozens of billionaire “money geniuses” for this new book, and I’m SO stoked to read it!
If you want to get your copy, just use this link:

Listen to the interview that I did with him – and get this new book.
All of the money goes to a great cause, and when you’re dealing with Tony, it’s guaranteed to be a winner.
Ok, I’ve been asked to share my adventures and their implied lessons with you… Well, last week was a whopper!
I was in Beaver Creek (next to Vail) with 19 entrepreneurs, a French iconic speaker, and a translator who were there to do their annual high-level mastermind.
I was the “mind candy” and ended up doing 18 different compression Hot Seats (meaning 15-30 minute highly condensed mini-consultations) in a ten-hour period.
There were an interesting spectrum of problems I was given to solve (all through translation):
- A company that sues banks on behalf of mortgage holders who’ve been overcharged…
- A five-star hotel in Nice that has had an occupancy crisis since last year’s terrorist attack…
- A phrenologist from Morocco, who wants to build a luxury combination resort / dialysis retreat for kidney disease sufferers that can’t typically go on vacation…
- A prominent university business management professor wanting to “ethically” introduce current, past, and future students to join her network marketing business…
- A wealthy owner of a bunch of McDonalds franchises, who drives Formula 1 (as a hobby) wants to get sponsors to defray the half million he spends on his hobby…
It gets better… a facial equipment manufacturer who has a razor blade concept and sells front end equipment BUT gets little back-end product consumption. A mega cargo ship captain who is a successful real estate investor with huge access to capital-seeking trustworthy partners to source deals for him when he’s out at sea.
Want more? Ok, a woman whose business is successfully communicating with pets. A sign maker whose average sale is $300,000, wanting to penetrate some very specific markets. I did a two-hour Hot Seat with a Chinese online products seller who’s issued 40,000,000 buyer “points” they need to find a self-liquidating way to retire / redeem. I can go on but it’d be a huge email.
I’m telling you all this for a reason. They’re editing the entire day’s worth of Hot Seats down to just the English parts, and I’m going to “gift” the best ones to you so you can see how a foreign language Hot Seat session works. By the way: this Monday, three companies from Japan are flying in to share a three-day Hot Seat session with me and they’re bringing their own translator.
My points? My life is fascinating and diverse, and I get to personally see how amazing people from all over the world do many of the same things AND have many similar business problems as you and I… it is a small world after all!
Now, in gratitude and acknowledgement for you reading this far – I have a surprise:
Two perspectives on how my strategies have been applied – One: an overview with a few examples of how my strategies can be applied in multiple industries. This was drafted last week for a major business publication but I decided to share it with you today instead. The other is a much deeper perspective from a client of mine on how he applied many of my strategies to one specific industry.
That’s it – but, if you ever get interested in your own personal deep-dive, outrageously penetrating Hot Seat experience, consider our Revenue Trifecta or Elite Round Table events. Both are individualized, scenario/situation specific experiences that I do not for the money but more for the fulfillment and discovery/breakthrough rush that both parties gain from the experience.
Enjoy the article and look for the video edits of yesterday’s shortened Hot Seats in about two weeks as my instructional, real-world gift on how to massively / masterfully apply my methods to YOUR unique business issues.
Oh, here’s a picture from yesterday’s French Connection. (Don’t believe the camera. I’m really thinner!)
Headlines provoke interest, compel emotional response, drive people to breakthrough their bonds of ambivalence, catapult an ordinary generic commodity – tangible or intangible – into highly differentiated / animated “proprietary”.
Headlines have been said to be 80% of the impact value of an ad, sales letter, website, email… The equivalent is the opening paragraph uttered in a sales presentation – or taking an incoming prospect call, or greeting a prospective buyer at a business’ front door – the outcome of the promotion can be multiplied, amplified, outright increased up to 21X (2100%) by utilizing the right compelling, propelling headline.
If you have been on our list for a while, you know that I have a personal plan or mission of sorts, where I have a staff member scouring all the major websites, portals, platforms, and media centers to collect the best, and most provocative, powerful headlines.
We keep growing the list everyday. Last time I shared my collection with you it was several thousand strong – enormous by most standards – but infinitesimal by the goals I’ve set. We want 100,000 – YES, I said an unimaginable collection of one hundred thousand headlines, which we’ll ultimately catalogue and categorize.
For today, I’m gifting you with our latest updated compendium of 10,000 separate headlines.
Certainly, all aren’t golden – but a surprisingly large number can be adapted, adopted, and modified to main- or sub-heads or bullets in whatever marketing endeavors you pursue.
Please enjoy carefully reviewing each headline slowly, methodically, reflectively.
Just immersing yourself in this collection daily is guaranteed to open up vast windows of possibility you’d never considered applying before.
Enjoy all 10,000 with my compliments!
Okay, I know we are always bringing you some very eclectic ideas and concepts, and I’m sure you are curious as to how I will be pulling together the idea of how Preeminence can relate to Popularity… and, Hamilton the musical!
I like creating and untangling Gordian knots… And, today’s one relates to how to become popular and proactive while being preeminent – – and having some fun!
Well, undoubtedly you will be invited to countless social functions over the next 12 months. And, because you’ve been studying and practicing the many strategies of how to become preeminent in everything you do – – YOU will be able to demonstrate your prominence and preeminence in your industry/market! Aka: the star of every party!
(By the way, if you need some more study material on the Strategy of Preeminence feel free to refer to http://www.abraham.com/
And, due to your prominence and preeminence in your industry/market, you may (probably will) find yourself inundated with attention at these social events and parties. In case you are shy or need some ice-breakers, I don’t want to leave you standing there all alone. So I’m going to help you out with a“crash course” collection of cool “factoids” to share in social conversation – that will help define your conversational superiority.
Between your preeminent posturing and these factoids – – you’ll be the most popular / interesting person anyone has ever met.
Start with THIS article from the New Year’s Day Special Edition Section of The Sunday New York Times:
The print version is titled:
“45 Things You May Have Learned from The Times in 2016. Surprising Discoveries Kept Turning Up Elsewhere Last Year. Here Is a Sampling.”
“Things We Learned in 2016” is the digital version’s title:
I found the 60 factoids in the digital version absolutely fascinating; particularly provocative were factoids #3, 7, 10, 16, 20, 21, 22, 26, 36, 39, 41, and 42.
I’ll be curious to hear which ones get you the most response at social functions.
Next – Hamilton – – The Man and The Musical:
“How do both Hamiltons relate to this conversation,” you ask?
Well, as you know the real Alexander Hamilton is probably most famous for
“throwing away his shot” or deliberately firing to miss in his fatal duel with Aaron Burr. In the musical the writer plays with this phrase in many ways – he builds a portrait of an ambitious man determined to NOT “throw away his shot,” to NOT miss his chance at personal success, professional success, or at providing service to his adopted country.
This impacted me because throughout the play Hamilton vows over and over to NOT throw away his shot – at fame, fortune, at leaving a legacy and by continuing to study preeminence and acting I’m hoping YOU won’t throw away YOUR shots when they come shooting at you.
Considering Hamilton’s impact on me, I’ve compiled the top ten, most popular phrases from both the smash-hit Broadway musical and the person, Alexander Hamilton…
Here are the top 10 from the musical “Hamilton”:
“If you stand for nothing, Burr what’ll you fall for?”
– Aaron Burr, Sir
“There’s a million things I haven’t done, just you wait!”
– Alexander Hamilton
“I’m past patiently waitin’. I’m passionately smashin’ every expectation. Every action’s an act of creation! I’m laughin’ in the face of casualties and sorrow. For the first time, I’m thinkin’ past tomorrow.”
– Alexander Hamilton, My Shot
“I am the one thing in life. I can control. I am inimitable. I am an original.”
– Aaron Burr, Wait for It
“And when my prayers to God were met with indifference, I picked up a pen, I wrote my own deliverance!”
– Alexander Hamilton, Hurricane
“We push away what we can never understand. We push away the unimaginable.”
– Angelica Schuyler, Quiet Uptown
“Legacy. What is a legacy? It’s planting seeds in a garden you never get to see.”
– Alexander Hamilton, The World Was Wide Enough
“Why do you write like you’re writing out of time?”
“I’m just like my country—I’m young, scrappy, and hungry, and I am not throwing away my shot.”
– Hamilton, My Shot
“Even though we started at the very same time, Alexander Hamilton began to climb. How to account for his rise to the top? Man, the man is non-stop.”
– Burr, Non-stop
And, here are some of the best pearls of wisdom from Alexander Hamilton, the man:
“A well-adjusted person is one who makes the same mistake twice without getting nervous.”
“Men often oppose a thing merely because they have had no agency in planning it, or because it may have been planned by those whom they dislike.”
“The art of reading is to skip judiciously.”
“We must make the best of those ills which cannot be avoided.”
“Ambition without principle never was long under the guidance of good sense.”
“Hard words are very rarely useful. Real firmness is good for everything. Strut is good for nothing.”
“Men give me credit for some genius. All the genius I have lies in this; when I have a subject in hand, I study it profoundly. Day and night, it is before me. My mind becomes pervaded with it. Then the effort that I have made is what people are pleased to call the fruit of genius. It is the fruit of labor and thought.”
“Experience is the oracle of truth; and where its responses are unequivocal, they ought to be conclusive and sacred.”
“Happy will it be for ourselves, and most honorable for human nature, if we have wisdom and virtue enough to set so glorious an example to mankind!”
“That experience is the parent of wisdom is an adage the truth of which is recognized by the wisest as well as the simplest of mankind.”
You’re going to kill it at social functions. No thanks necessary!
Happy New Year,
PS—For fun here is a link to a fun parody where the writer of Hamilton the play (Lin-Manuel Miranda) commemorates his first-time hosting SNL with a remixed version of Hamilton’s “My Shot.” and here is a link to “Hamilton in Real Life – My Shot andAaron Burr, Sir“ done by Working with Lemons.
